TRANSFORMER PRODUCTS
The types of power transformers addressed by JBTC in providing consulting services are quite diverse. Power transformers can be categorized by various descriptive parameters. These include voltage class, MVA, and by application. In the U.S. the highest commercially used voltage class is 765,000 volts. JBTC has extensive experience with this voltage class. The size of transformers is often depicted by the MVA rating, or the power delivery capability. Transformers can be manufactured as three phase units or single phase units that are connected together in a three phase bank. The largest three phase rating is in the order of 1400 MVA and the largest single phase rating is approximately 600 MVA. Here again, JBTC has experience with all of these ratings.
IN REGARD TO APPLICATION, THE FOLLOWING IS A LIST OF TRANSFORMERS CATEGORIZED BY APPLICATION:
• Autotransformers rated up to 765 kV and 1500 MVA
